Last weekend I was involved in a 320km charity relay organized by the AFL Qld umpire association. The running team consisted of 10 AFL Umpires and I was responsible for jeering up the public at shopping centres, asking them to dig deep for the official charity, 'The Royal Blind Foundation for Children'.
Over $5000 was raised and it is great to see that running can be doubling rewarding and used as a means to raise money for charity.
This weekend over 400 runners are involved in a 500k relay in South East Queensland raising money for the Endeavour Foundation. Great work guys.
There is not a great number of distance running events during summer. It is important to keep rolling through your training though. Please
